system is WinXP Pro on Asus A7V, Athlon 700 with 512MB Crucial RAM.
occasionally (no more than once a day) the system restarts on its own (as if one were to press the hard restart button). Booting has become slower since this problem arose and the Virtual Memory setting gets reset to 0MB upon reboot.
I don't think its the RPC exploit. The system is patched and up-to-date with virus definitions (AVG) and sits behind both a SMC SPI router and ZoneAlarm.
PSU is a 300W Antec, connected to an AVR capable UPS. CPU temp is 54C. There are 5 fans:
PSU
front intake
back expel
stock CPU HSF
stock video HSF
There are 3 RAM sticks (all being detected).
What could be causing this? What can I test for?
