i use win2kpro on my home server and i checked uptime today and it was only 7hrs. usually i only reboot it when needed for updates so it usually is on 24/7 x 10-30days between reboots. i looked at the event logger and found this:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000c2 (0x00000040, 0x00000000, 0x80000000, 0x00000000). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini120105-01.dmp.

any idea what caused it from this info?

just wondering if it was a fluke and isolated incident or is the beginning of something bad....

no because of this line - ' Not all "Stop 0x000000C2" errors are caused by the problem that is described in this article.'
