Computer related careers?

I currently have a two year electronics engineering technology degree that I received about 15 years ago and I have been employed as a technician with one of the medium to bigger semiconductor companies since I received it.

I have finally realized that I can't go much further with my current company and degree and that I really should have gotten my BSEE back when I graduated high school and not my tech degree.

During this time I have developed strong PC skills and have taken care of some of the PCs on the lab network and done some VB and Python programming in addition to my normal electronic tech duties. I have also repaired PCs for friends and family and even a bit of web design.

I am thinking about switching to a computer related career, but I don't know the best path. I doubt that my current degree and would get me a good position and I have a family with a young child so full time school and my current position would drive me insane. If I could find a way to pay my bills for four years I could take 4 years off of work and get my computer engineering degree, but that does not seem realistic. I have thought about getting a MCSE, but every job that I looked at required it in addition to a four year degree.

Any thought on this?

I know that Dell is hiring computer techs in my area. The pay is only $27 per support ticket, though... which sucks :(
