Computer Refuses to shut down or restart

I was doing dome customization using CursorXP, and Bootskin. Suddenley, I realized that I could not shut down or restart. I tried every way, even using a windows update tool to try and force the restart.
However, Nothing ever happens after I try to shutdown. Can anyone help?

Try the shutdown in Task Manager. If that doesn't work, try ending non-Windows processes one at a time and trying again. That may pinpoint the offending app.

mmm,, move hard drive to another comp to save pr0n,, reformat,, just turn it off. manually It really doesn't hurt the computer,, u just loose certain saved information, but most of that is useless anyhow. unless ur a power user or doing server getups.
