My computer has just started to reboot itself without warning. WTF!? I thought I had a virus, but I don't, and it worked fine for months. Although I was overclocking, returning the CPU to normal speed made no difference!

Abit BE6-II
Abit Slotket
Celeron 566
2x128 Crucial PC100 CAS2
ATI All in Wonder 128 32MB
Maxtor DiamondMax 40 Plus 40GB 7200RPM
etc...

Could my power supply have been fine and suddenly gone bad? HELP!

That's usually a sign of a bad memory stick (or possibly, power supply). I noticed you have 2 DIMMs. Try using one at a time, and see if you can isolate the problem. If it still keeps happening, it sounds like big trouble. One thought that comes to mind, were you monitoring your chip's temperature while it was overclocked? It may have gradually become unstable from high heat.

I have a problem with one of my computers also. If you are working on it or just letting it sit there it will randomly reboot. Somedays going for a week without a reboot and others several times a day. They have an APC ups/line conditioner inline also.

System components include:
Celeron 500
128MB Ram (kingston)
13GB HD
no sound card
3com NIC
4MB (Jaton I believe)PCI video card
It's been about a year since I built all of them and don't remember exactly.

It is actually a server for my Dad's shop that I built. Just a peer to peer network using '98. All they runs is Peachtree Complete (accounting program) and Excel. The data on PT is becoming corrupt now with the reboots. Needs to be fixed bad. I'm going to replace the p/supply first and see if that helps. Does anybody else have any suggestions??

Well, the temp hovered around 50C until I got a Golden Orb, and now it's around 40C. The thing about the memory is, it all worked fine and then just started rebooting after several months, I didn't add or change it.
