Argh, I finally figure out my mobo problems, I get the thing running, and now when I try to install Windows 2000 from the CD the computer reboots when the DVD drive spins up! I tried making the boot disks, but as soon as I access F:\ in DOS, the drive spins up and reboots! I have the DVD drive on IDE2 as a master and the HDD on IDE1 as the master, they are not sharing IDE channels. I tried disconnecting all the fans in the case (3) and that still didn't help. The DVD drive is a Lite-On LTD-163. Thanks.

Replace the DVD with something else . . . anything, even a standard CD-ROM. If it is an older or slow CD drive, then create a folder on C: called I386 and copy the contents of the I386 folder from the install CD and then run Setup from C:\I386.

Hope this helps.
