Computer reboot itself while checking for virus!!!

I tried to scan for virus and when it goes to scan drive, the computer will just restart! I have checked with Win Doctor and the disk but there's nothing wrong with it except checking for virus.

But when I used quick virus scan to check on it... it didn't say there's anything wrong with it (as there're folder that they won't scan). However, when I use deep scan... it just restart. I tried to scan each folder and I found out it will happen in several folders under "program file" .

I tried to use the built in anti virus software (Systemsuite) to scan on those specific folder and it will reboot. So, I tried to use the online virus scan program (Trend Micro) but the computer will reboot too...

I wonder if there's anything that I can do to have a thorough scan on it?

Get a chkdsk done on that drive to eliminate any filesystem problems it might be choking on. Get an update for your antivirus engine/drivers (not just definitions).

Try the above..if no luck let us know and please post OS and specs.
