Computer randomly shuts down and reboots

It's getting to be quite an annoyance so I finally thought I would post about it. My computer has really always had this problem that it wants to randomly completely shut down and start itself back up. Like it completely loses power. Other times it will lock up during a game for a long time then either unlock itself finally or just reboot. Sounds like a video card problem there, but could also be a power supply causing problems I think. It happens most often while playing games, but does happen occasionally when just surfing or instant messaging. Any ideas?

FYI I have run memtest, and the stress test for the CPU, forget what it's called now.

Overheating PSU/CPU/Vid Card? I know you've run stress tests, but actual gaming / use of the computer can cause different types of stress.

Going through the same issues myself - Most likely one of these things: Motherboard, RAM, HD (Yea I know...), or PSU. Aside from that, like the previous person mentioned it could simply be Overheating.

I had to increase the DRAM voltage on my RAM to get my system to be stable, and it still sometimes does the same... I've replaced the Mobo, HD, PSU, Video card, and reinstalled windows. I'll be replacing the RAM next and probably buying a new PSU myself.

What are your specs? Including brand and rated wattage of PSU.

What are your temps?

Specs are...

Intel Pentium 4 3.6 Ghz
2GB Dual Channel DDR2
GeForce 6800 256MB video
DVD-RW
450W PSU

I think possibly I need more power, so I ended up getting a good deal on an Antec Truepower 650Watt. We'll see what happens when I get that. I'll try and get temps after work today. Thanks All!

Well so far I've been playing games and monitoring the temps and the CPU temp gets to about 59C max, and I've seen the video card get as high as 73C

Got the new PSU and it still does it. I've noticed the GPU temps getting over 76C too though, I dunno how hot is too hot
