Computer randomly restarts, PLEASE help!

Let me start by saying that my computer randomly restarts and I don't think its a virus because this is a new (2 day old) win2k OS.

Anyway, my specs are:
Abit IT7 (Installed w/new OS along w/CPU)
P4 2.26
MSI GF4 Ti4400
2x256 (512)megs samsung on samsung "PNY" memory
1x80gig WD800BB -- Running system
1x120gig WD1200AB -- MP3s, Movies, etc
1x30gig IBM Deskstar -- What I ran my old OS from, there so I can copy stuff to my new system
A CDRW and DVD-ROM drive
DLink LAN card
SB Live! XGamer

Anyway:
Last time it restarted I was opening winamp and I hit play...winamp closed and I shrugged and tried opening it again: restart.
Then when windows was loading it restarted

It was doing the same thing yesterday, seems like if it remains stable for a few minutes, it will for the rest of that boot....but thats odd as all hell.

I dont know if its hardware (hopefully not) or software (Win 2k SP3, should I just stick w/SP1 or SP2?)

PLEASE help

had the same problems on my rig with viper2 and win2k sp3... its definitely not an sp3 problem. what fixed it for me was updating mainboard bios/agp drivers.

hope this helps.

Argh, now I'm screwed...random programs are crashing...I think I'm gonna format *again*

This time I'll hold d/l all the drivers from the net...
