Hi people.

I received my new GeForce 7900 GTO yesterday and flashed it immediately to GTX with no problems.

Every so often when im browsing the internet or playing games my system will just restart as if ive pressed the reset button, and freeze occasionnally.

Im beginning to think it may be a power issue.

My specs are as follows:

A64 3700+ SD @ 2.75Ghz
2x1Gb Corsair XMS4400 Pro TwinX @ 250Mhz
ASRock dual 939
512Mb GeForce 7900 GTO - flashed to GTX
Antec TruePower 430W

PS: I'm expecting an ASUS A8N32 SLi Deluxe mobo and a Xclio Greatpower 650W PSU delivered on monday.

Do you think my 430W PSU isnt enough for my setup? Will the XClio Greatpower 650W (on its way) fix the problem?

You should be fine with that PSU.

the antec's are common, they even sell em at the best buy near me. besides that, that one should be more than enough, i was running a a64 3500 winchester w/ a X1900 on the same psu im running now. no problems, except that my 1900 actually died on me. you sure its not a bad flash on your video card?

1. as mentioned before, your PSU may not be able to handle the extra load from your 7900GTO
2. your OC on your may not be 100% on your 3700+, you might want to try lowering in the meantime as see if that might solve your crashes.
3. also mentioned before...possibly a bad flash

Try everything on stock including unflashing the card. See if everything runs fine. It could possibly be a power issue or might be an unsuccesful flash.

Ok ive put everything down to stock speeds and volts, ive flash back to GTO BIOS..... Problems persist. My computer used to do this with my previous gfx card an 256MB XFX GeForce 7800GS Extreme Edition but not as worse, this is where im pretty sure its the PSU! AND I dont think my cheap ASRock 939 Daul mobo is good enough either. A PCIe / AGP hybrid mobo may be a bit unstable for a powerful card like the 7900GTX.

Did you disable auto restart under the start up and recovery tab, and check the event viewer? Run P95 TT and memtest86+? monitor all the rails for any significant fluctuations? All temps are good, fans spinning, ect.? If allt hat has checked out perhaps th new board and PSU will resolve the issue.
