Computer randomly freezes

I've had the following computer for about a year...

AMD Opteron 144 @ 2.8GHz, 1.6V (about 7 months) 1.4V (about 5 months, when I realized I didn't need 1.6)
2x1GB OCZ DDR-500, 3-4-3-7 1T (stock)
ASUS A8N-32 SLI Deluxe, 1303 bios
Nvidia Geforce 7800GT @ 500/1150
Enermax Liberty 500W
Western Digital 250GB HDD
Sound blaster audigy 2 ZS

...and recently it's been randomly freezing/crashing. I've tried reformatting, turning off the OC on the graphic card, rebuilding the comp (all new as5, remounted hsf's, even though temps were perfectly fine), and nothing seems to fix it. Is the cpu just dying from having 1.6V's run through it for 7 months? If so, should I invest in a new 939 CPU or just wait until I can afford a conroe mobo/cpu/ram setup?

EDIT: btw it passes Prime 95 and 32M super pi
