Are computers vulnerable from shaking? I moved my tv and hit my compuyter's case a bit and the mouse stopped to move. Same with the keyboard. I had to restart the computer a couple of times to get it working. It happend with the former athlon xp too.
 
The hard drive would probably be the most vulnerable thing to shaking since it has alot of moving parts. I can't see why your mouse and keyboard stopped working unless they got unplugged from the motherboard.
