i have a gigabyte K8N-SLi with a 7800GT, and gold series OCZ 1gb 3200. i also have the latest version of my bios. well heres the problem: when i boot up(doesn't happen when i restart), my computer lets out a really long beep during the middle of booting up and my CPU fan miraculously stops spinning, but after i leave it to beep for maybe 10 seconds it starts spinning again and goes into windows etc....what oculd possibily cause this problem?? thanks in advance!l

well obviously something is wrong, so your going to have to consult your motherboard manual to tell what that certain beep means.

Doing a Google for the beep codes for your mobo and BIOS is not hard. Start here:

Beep

1 Long Beep: Memory problem

Explanation: There is a failure of some sort related to the system memory.

Diagnosis: The first bank of memory probably has a failure of some sort; this is usually just a physical problem such as an incorrectly inserted module, but may also mean a bad memory chip in a module. It is possible that there is a failure related to the motherboard or a system device as well.
