Computer powers up, but periphals don't get signal.

After installing a new CPU cooler (zerotherm nirvana) in my rig today, i played around with some overclocking and it booted into windows fine, but I noticed the CPU getting hot. During a load test, it got up to 60*C, so i shut down immediately and pulled the cooler off to reapply the thermal paste.

After reinstalling and reconnecting everything, I plugged it back in, hit the power, and got nothing. All the case fans would spin, the GFX card fan would spin (but only at full speed -- it never slowed down like normal), and the Nirvana's fan was spinning. The HDD felt like it was spinning, but I wasn't quite sure.

Anyway, my USB keyboard and mouse weren't getting signal, nor was my monitor. I unplugged everything several times and have no clue what's going on. I'm going to try swapping mobos tonight to see if I screwed something up somehow. CMOS is currently clearing while I'm at work.

Any advice?
 
Did you turn your PSU off (if it has a pwr sw) and unplug it during this 'reapplying thermal paste' adventure? Have you tried resetting your bios?

Yes and yes. Bios is clearing while I'm at work right now. I'll try it again when I get home around 8.
 
Teehee...I pulled a ram stick half way out of the socket when I was messing with the Nirvana. Took forever to get set back up, but running fine in XP Pro idling at 25*C.
