Computer power supply question...

I bought a new case that has two big blue light bars running down the front. Everytime the computer is on, the lights come on and are very bright. The two bars connect via the 5v power connector (only red and black wire). I was thinking of installing a switch between the red wires on the 5v connector that lets me turn off the lights even when the computer is on.

Normally this would be okay but doesn't the computer power supply deliver a constant 5v? If I installed the switch and just flick it off while the computer is on, would there be a problem?
