computer power supply electrical cords

Is there any electrical differences in the power cords that come with various computer power supplies that come with different computers & computer power supplies or is the electrical conductivity/specs of all computer power cords the same ?

The reason I ask is because here at work as new computers replace old ones and the cords get removed/separated from the old computers (not my doing) when they are placed in the "computer graveyard room", there is NO way that we can think of to tell which cord originally came with which of the old computers. Is there an issue here or can the cords be used interchangeably ?

They are interchangible.

The only time there's really any difference is when the gauge of wire used is different.

But this will only make a difference in really, really high wattage units.

Yep, they'll work fine if they're the same connector. Some companies who make high-wattage power supplies, like PCPC, will use 14 gauge wire for less resistance, but that's not a very big issue.
