Computer power on, but black signal

so my computer appears to be working fine, and my lcd comes out of standby, but it is all black. it stays out of standby as well. all lights and fans are working and the cd drive spins up if there is a cd in it.

I have a q6600, 8800gt, 520 corsair psu, asus p5b-e. I used to have this before, and I would turn the power switch on the psu off and back on, and then it would work. Now it still doesn't. Any ideas?

Turns out cable was lose that plugs into the monitor I think, so somehow it had just enough juice to knock it out of standby, but not enought to even begin to make any fuzzyniess lines, or anything. Thanks!
