Me.

I've had nothing but problems with my Radeon card. I doubt I'll buy one ever again.

Which one? Since the 9700 the Radeons have rocked hard, before that there were indeed driver problems.
Just like Nvidia has been delivering crap a few times lately too.

Radeon 9700.

Some times it just doesn't send a signal to the monitor, sometimes it won't take changes to the display settings, sometimes Windows starts up in some kind of video safe mode (1024x768 @ 60Hz 16-bit), it works like crap with some games (NWN), has many bugs with others that I haven't encountered yet (BF1942), and it's boot ROM was too big to allow me to use it and boot from my SCSI card with two of my motherboards.

I have really bad luck when it comes to new hardware. If I buy behind the curve I'm always fine. When I go out on a limb for the newest shiny thing, I get burned.

I'd trade speed for stability any day.

Yeah, I believe that is the truth from the benchmarks...didn't the 9800 Pro win out when the resolution was turned up higher though?

Ouch don't tell me you bought a Powercolor and are now down on ATI. Powercolor is not a well respected company. If they were making nVidia cards or anything else for that matter they would be crap. I never had anything but nVidia cards before my Sapphire 9700 Pro and I was hesistant to buy ATI at first. After months of hearing raves about the 9700 Pro I finally bought one and I've never regretted it. No driver issues. Sublime IQ. Fast as hell. F Powercolor.
