Computer overhaul suggestions

Right now, I have a setup like this:

Radeon 8500


I'm planning an overhaul of the system, jumping up to an A64 and new video card. Will the 8x AGP cards fit on my board? I figure I can get a new video card when the new ones come out, and in a month or two get a new MB, RAM and processor.

Also, what features should I definitely be looking for on the new motherboards? Are the nvidia nForce3 250's lookin good so far?
