I came home yesterday to find my monitor had no picture and computer was on. Made sure the moniutor was on and it was but no picture. I restarted the computer but still nothing. I made sure all cables were good and monitor power was on. Switched monitors and still same thing, so I moved onto the video card. Reseated the card and nothing. Swapped it out with an different video card and still nothing. Here is where I am now. I noticed I don't get any beeps when I restart the computer. So I'm thinking either the power supply, CPU, or motherboard battery. But if anyone can offer any other advice to look for it would be appreciated. Also if my guesses are right which should I start with first? Power supply, CPU, or Motherboard? My motherboard does have it's power indication light on as well, and fans are running, but i'm not getting any picture and no beeps when I restart. Thanks in advance for any help.

Is the machine POSTing at all, or no picture what-so-ever?

I just went through it this week. For me, it turned out to be a dead motherboard. I tested all components in another pc and they worked fine (except mobo obviously😉). I had the same symptoms as you; pc turned on, fans spun, hard drive made sounds, but no picture to the monitor.

this happened to my dad's computer a coupla weeks ago and it turned out his monitor croaked. test your monitor on another computer or test a second monitor on yours.
