Ok I'm helping my friend build a new system and it looked like we were finished yesterday. We were using a motherboard that supports 1066MHz ram but we got some triple channel corsair 1600MHz ram hoping it'll work and worse case scenario we buy a new motherboard.
Mobo: (Asus) Pegatron ipmtb-tk
CPU: i7 920D0 stepping
PSU: Antec Truepower 750W
Graphics card: BFG GTX 260
Ram: 6gb Corsair i7 Triple channel 1600MHz(TR3X6G1600C8 6GB DDR3)
HDD : Western Digital 1TB
Hooked everything up and it looked good but when we hit the on switch nothing appeared on the screen. The various fans and everything were going but not the screen. I thought that even if the motherboard doesn't recognize the ram that we should still be able to get into the bios but we can't do that if we don't see anything. The CPU and heatsink was installed correctly for sure since it was working in a previous setup with this motherboard. Checked to make sure nothing was loose especially the video card.
So any suggestions?
Thank you in advance
