So, I went on vacation for two weeks. Before going on vacation I shut down my computer completly.

When I got back tonight I pressed the power button and nothing happened. The Asus motherboard I have appears to have power so I'm not sure it's the power supply (The Blue Asus LED is on)... No Fans, etc turn on.

Could it be the power supply or even the case? (as in something happened to the power button?)

Yeah, going to pick up a new PSU tommorow. I was in a panic earlier so I didn't give a good enough description either.

Here is what is happening.

System worked before vacation. I turned it off to leave off while I was gone.

I returned from vacation today and attempted to power it on... nothing happened. No fans spun, no nothing. I doubt it's the CMOS personally. Also, my roomate attempted to short the power with no luck already.

Is the motherboard a likely canidate? or is this most likely the PSU? I'm going to grab a case just for shits from work tommorow and just wire the power button to it.

How did you turn off your computer completely? Unplug the surge protector? Start with the obvious, is the surge protector on and working? Make sure all connections from the PSU to the motherboard are tight and that the power cord isn't loose on the PSU. No power at all is usually the PSU or bad connections. Even bad motherboards will usually give you spinning fans or lights.

I wouldn't bother with the case. I doubt the power button is to blame.

I've had an asus board die on me before and KB is right, the board would seem to have some life in it. Also as he pointed out, make sure you are plugged into a surge protector, as a power spike is your most likely culprit if you've been gone 2 weeks.
