Hi, im about to get Cox@home and i believe for it to work the computer has to have a special name that they assing you. well if i get a router (linksys cable router) and set it up to share between 2 or 3 computers how does the cox get the computer name?

I have a linksys router, and you set that all up in the router in the web based admin utility. 🙂

What I did was write down all my network settings and then transfer then over to my cable modem router. The guy also gave me a sheet with all the info I needed (IP address, system name, etc).

Yeah, the SMC Barricade works the same way. Just put the @Home computer name in the naming facility and you should be all set. Here (comcast@home) we use automatic IP addressing, so life's a bit simpler.
