computer management problems with win2k

ok i'm trying to change some drive letters on my machine, and this is the first time i've ever seen this problem. i go into administrative tools, computer management, and i go to the Disk Management, and it says "FAILED connection to Logical Disk Management Service."

anyone gotta clue what's up?

Sounds like the service isn't running. Check your services and see if that service is set to disable. From there you can start and stop it manually.

i figured out that daemon tools had screwed up my stuff when i created a fake CD-ROM drive

just reformatted, so it's working fine now!
