Computer Losing Files When Turning off?

I have win2k and when I shut down sometimes my computer gets corrupted files... does anyone know how to fix this? I would assume some settings in Device Manager would help, but they are way beyond me.

I believe SP2 includes the disk cache flush fix. With 9x you could download the update separately.
