Computer locks when it goes into standby/sleep mode

I have a Slot A 750 Athlon running on a ASUS K7V board. Video card is a Elsa Gladiac Geforce 2 32mb card and a Sound blaster Live and 192mb PC133 ram. OS is WinME. This system is not overclocked. Here is what happens. Everyday if I leave the computer on when I get home and move the mouse I get no responses...the system locks. I have to reboot to use the computer...any ideas?

yessir...don't use standby/sleep mode!

i've seen countless winME boxes that don't come out of sleep mode...it's pretty common actually. you can have your monitor turn off..and your hard disk spin down..but just disable sleep mode. (it's under your screensaver properties if you didn't know already)
