Computer locks up mainly when i maximize & minimize any windows

I am running an AMD 600 on a asus k7v motherboard.
I have an aureal vortex SQ2500(oem) also a GeFORCE GTS made by creative(oem) 52X creative oem cd. 3 1/2 floppy 128PC100 and 128PC133 an external zip and cable modem.
My computer locks up unexpectedly it mainly locks up when i maximize and minimize windows.. it also locks up in games ..
when the lock up occurs alt cntrl del doesen't affect it i have to press the power button in order to shut it off...!!!
so please help !!!

Well don't minimize and maximize windows then, jeez!

As far as the games are concerned, make sure you are running the latest video, sound, and DirectX drivers..a lot games are picky about these things..and you seem to have 100 and 133 MHZ ram..though this shouldn't cause any problems, it MIGHT be one of the variables..you might want to try removing one of them and see what happens..Regards

it isn't the ram because i tried it with only the 100 and only with the 133 it still happens.
oh yhea my os is Win 98 Se

Make sure that you are running the LATEST drivers for the video, ect... Also try lowering hardware accell. It will affect games a bit, but at least you can see if that is the problem.
