I got a 1.2 GHZ Athlon and AbitKT7A. It was retail with the retail HSF. Recently I moved back to college, and on hot days, when I play CS my computer locks up. My CPU is about 48 C at IDLE, or hotter, depending on the day. Should I get a new HSF??? Where should I buy from and what ones are good? I'd like to keep this under 30 bucks. Thanks!

Your temp should be fine, since Tbirds can withstand a lot of heat, but it's a good idea to get another heatsink/fan combo anyway. If you don't want to pay the premium for an SK-6 or an MC462, there are still quite a large number of awesome HS/F combo's you can get for under $30. I personally like to shop at 2cooltek.com.

I'd go w/ the Golden Gate heat sink for a good performer for a good price. Do you mind if you computer is loud? I'd probably suggest getting an 80mm adapter and putting a nice quiet panaflo on top of it.

[edit] You can get the Golden Gate from here and the adapters from here. [/edit]
