Computer Locked up

OK I was playing CS:S and all of a sudden the game locked up the audio was stuck (gliching) and the keyboard numlock caps lock...ect were unresponsive did not respond to the lights. Why this did this happen after 3 months this is the first time.

Because sometimes computers just hic-up. Does it happen every time? If not, then there is nothing to worry about.

Yeah if it happens every 3 days, it's a problem, but every 3 months? I wouldn't think anything of it...

Try restarting your comp I would agree with the previous posters but if its reoccuring I would point to a heat issue or a PSU issue but you would have to post specs and stuff.

One lock-up in three months is about normal. My Nero software will lock up my computer more often than that. Reboot and it's fine. If you're getting a lock up every day I'd agree that it's a heat issue.

I recently had my first lockup with my PC after playing BF2 for about 30 mins. I was shocked since it has never happened before. I looked up immediately at my thermometer and my room was 26C. I opened up the side of my case, turned down the thermostat and resumed playing problem free.

It's usually just something like that.
