I have a ECS K7s5a
512 sdram
1.2 Athlon
Geforce Mx 200
Windows XP
My computer frequently locks up if I use the full 512 ram with the cpu fsb set at 133 mhz. However, I can correct the problem by either only using 256 ram or setting the fsb to 100 mhz. I don't think it is the bios because it is 11/09/01 which I understand should work. I am thinking it might be a thermal problem, has anyone experienced this same problem or no of a solution or atleast what might be causing this to happen. I am hopeful that it is not a hardware problem but all my settings seem to be correct. Any help much appreciated.
