Computer Keeps Restarting...HELP PLEASE

So I just bought this sweet HP computer from FRY's Electronics. The HP Pavilion a1510n. I'm not sure of the motherboard but it has 1 gig of ram and a 3800 athlon. I installed a new graphics card (asus x1900xt) and a new 500watt powersupply.
It all seemed to work perfectly for the past week but then all of a sudden last night I was playing some Battlefield 2 and I was trying to quit out but it was going reaaaaally slow so I power shut it down to restart. When it restarted it kept going to the windows loading screen then for a split second I would see some windows blue message and then it would restart before reaching the desktop. Now I dont even get to the windows blue screen. It goes from the bios loading screen to a black screen with a blinking cursor and no longer restarts but it seems like I cant do anything from there. I can put in an xp disk and format but I wanted to try to fix this without losing everything. Please help, thanks

I have tried reseating my ram but no go and also the temperature seems normal about 55 celcius so I dont think its the heat....

Please post you power supply specs, mainly the brand and the amperage on the +12V rail. This can be found on the side of it.

That's the most important part of your post. Fry's gives you 30 days unconditional return privileges. If you can't find an answer, reinstall the stock power supply, and return it.

If the machine is exactly what you want, you can start by trying a replacement. If not, take the money, and get something else.

Yeah, I think I might do that however, I am wondering what if I dont want to give back personal information, should I just do a format and will they accept that...also still taking any suggestions for fixing the problem...sorry dont know the power supply specs since I'm at work but I dont think its the powersupply

Yes, formatting it will protect you from most snoopers. If someone is REALLY intent on finding what's on the disk, they may be able to recover some of it, but it would be more work than it was worth unless they knew exactly what they were looking for and they were sure it was on the drive.
