Hi, this is driving me nuts. I have this tv tuner card "Leadtek TV 2000XP Deluxe" and it worked fine before I reformatted my drive. Now you'd think there would be no problems after a reformat, but sure enough there are. I have the following:

Radeon 8500LE Video Card
Asus A7V8X-X Mobo
Win XP Pro SP1
512MB 2100 DDR Ram
AMD Sempron 2500+ CPU

Here's what I did. I installed winxp pro after a reformat then installed Spy Bot, AVG Antivirus, Zone Alarm, SpySweeper.
Then I installed the latest drivers for the video card.
Then I did all the windows update things except SP2
I then installed the Leadtek TV2000XP Deluxe card and cancelled all the "found new hardware" windows.
I then installed the drivers from the cd and during the installation othe screen went black and the computer rebooted.
So then I called up Leadtek and they called me back saying to install the drivers from their website.
I installed the latest drivers and during driver installation exact same reboot happens.

Anyone know what could be causing this? I 've installed the TV Tuner card in different PCI slots and same thing. How do I know what exactly is causing the reboot during driver installation. THere must be a conflict somewhere but I dunno where.

Sounds like incompatibility to me. Then again you say "it worked fine before i reformatted my drive", Ok so have you added any new hardware lately? OR it could bea conflict between some drives files for the Leadtek TV 2000XP which could be lying around on your computer when you tried to add the hardware.

Hmmm... I'm sure this problem will be solved once we all get our brains into gear :)
