Here my problem. When ever I turn the power off to my rig, and then try to reboot, my system lose stuff.
It can be diffent ever time, sometime it say no primary drive found, sometime no keyboard, other time no video....
You name it, it's lost it!!!
What work is to complete unplug the power supply, unplug the usb, plug the power suply back in, cross my fingers, blow a kiss at it , say a little prayer and hit the power button with my big left toe. This works 1 out of every 5 times.
I'm posting this in the mobo forum because I have an Abit ka7-100 mobo.
Is this that voltage issue that I've heard of that might effect this board with Geoforce cards? Or am I looking at a seroius issue with something else. This only happen when the system has been turned off. If it's just a reboot, everthing is fine.
Here my system in case any one can pick this issue apart. I'm listing every thing, because I've lost all these componants at one time or another.(exept the ram)
Abit ka7-100
Athlon 950 slot a
Geoforce 3 ti500
Sound blaster audigy
Soho Ethernet card
512 mb crucial ram running cl2 133mhz 4way interleave
tdk burner
pioneer dvd
enermax 330watt power supply
Ibm deskstar 60gxp harddrive
system temp 42c
Win Xp
d - link 4 port usb hub
Microsoft internet Keyboard and optical mouse
Thanks in advance

Sorry for the dealyed response guys.
330 watt power supply.
Thought about the battery, too, changed it , even though I wasn't losing time.

need to revive this from the dead, 'cause the b#$%h is throwing in a new curve.
Now ocassionally the system rebbots on it own.
When Winxp reloads it states it's recovering from a serious error.
I'm starting to lean towards a failing power supply, or not enuff cooling.
Am a leaning the right way, or am I gonna fall over?
Anyway, YES, latest bios have been flashed successfully.

Those are the 2 I would focus on with random reboots...I think you are looking in the right direction...
