Computer keeps "acquiring address", getting it, then starting over again........

I can't tell what kind of problem this is. Wire works fine on another computer.

Windows is working fine.

I can surf fine for a couple minutes, then in the clock-tray the little computer-screen icon pops up & the yellow ball starts bouncing around......."acquiring IP address"...........& I can't browse. Then after 30 seconds or so it finds it & then a couple minutes later does it all over again.

WTF????
 
Figured it out for anyone's who's interested.........

(really fvcking hate when I build a computer, set it up as they ask me........."Please make it so I don't have to worry about 'protection' & stuff"............and then they go downloading software firewalls, monitors, port blockers, etc.)


In this case it was 2wire's "Family Portal" software. As soon as I disabled the program.........everything was fine!!

AAaarrggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! :|
