I had this problem before (about 2 weeks ago) where it occurred for about 2 days but didn't happen again until now. I cannot get it to repeat iteself so it is very hard for me to troubleshoot.
My computer just turns itself off and will not turn on again (or turns on for about 3 seconds then turns off again).
I have tried to make sure all the cards/ram are seated right and they seem to be.
Once this happens, if I hit the power button sometimes nothing happens and other times it will start up and last anywhere between 1 second to 5 seconds. (it doesn't even get to load up windows).
It is not temp as I just turned on my computer this morning and it was off all night.
My system is:
535W Enermax power supply
amd 4400 cpu
asus sli premimum mb
2 1 gig ocz platinum
2 xfx 7800 gtx in sli
hitachi sata II 500 gig hd
creative x-fi
Any ideas? I have a three year warrenty with monarch (but I do not want to send away my computer for 2+ weeeks).
All I can think of is that it is a problem with the PS, mb, or case (with a short somewhere). What do you guys think? Is there anyway to narrow it down to find the problem? If I can, I can just rma that one part and only have a short down time.
Please help.
Thanks.
