When I try to start my machine it starts to post. I get the BIOS version, etc. then it reboots. It does this over and over again till I shut down my holding in the power button. Any ideas? TIA

what specs? also is the ram seated right? is it in the right slots? how about hsf, is it making good contact with the core, does it have thermal compound? what psu are you using? is this a new system or has it been working for a while and now is starting this?

The machine is "Chris' Contraption" in my sig. It a 1.33 @ 1.33 on a Gigabyte GA7DXR. 512MB PC2100 in Dimm 1 & 2, Win 98SE, Enermax EG651P-VE, HSF is a Glaciator, Artic Silver, this system has been running for 10 - 11 months. I recently found a trojan on it and deleted the file (windows update) that it was associated with. I was dual booting 98SE and XP (for last 2 weeks) but deleted the XP partition in case my problem was there.
