Computer just dies sometimes

weird.. when i turn on my comiputer, ihear this small fzzz sound and then my computer just shuts off by itself.. i'd narrow it down to something inside the computer.. it's not the surge protector or the power supply cable, but can it be the power supply itself?? i'm running 250W with my setup.. is it becuase it can not get enough power that it just dies?? has anyone have this problem before?

If this just happened out of the blue, most likely your power supply is dead. If you've added anything recently, other periphals, new video cards, etc, and then this problem happens, take them out and see if it still happens. Try and get another power supply to test your system to be sure it is actually the PS and not something else. You can also bring your PS to another machine and see the same. Good luck
