Not sure if anybody has seen any questions like this before, hopefully you guys can help me out. Im 16, need a job and would love for it to have something to do with computers, computer stores, technology.. you get the point.

What all stores like this will hire someone under 18? Basically if its anything like Microcenter, BestBuy, Circuit City, OfficeMax.. anything in that area there is one nearby so which will hire under 18? Anybody know?

Thanks!

you could look under those mentioned sites for "employment" and see what comes up.

Those type of stores aren't the types of places a computer literate person would go, they want someone who is a good salesman. Someone who can explain to a computer illiterate person why they need to spend more money on a new computer, not someone who is gonna confuse people with all kinds of big words about computers when all they want you to say is expensive computer > cheap computer.

You need an internship. Unless you want to fix PCs at Crazy Bob's Discount Electronics...

Don't forget about those extended warranties, over priced cables, printers/ink carts, and accessories.

Reminds me of the day they tried to sell me premium screen cleaner for 40$ a bottle. Hard to keep from not laughing!

If you're looking for a computer related job, I suggest you start looking for mom & pop stores that offer computer repair services. If the owner has lots of years of experience, then you might learn a thing or two before moving towards something more corporate. Then, when you get to college, you can start applying for internships at different corporations. Start during your freshman year, so by the time you get your degree, your chances of securing a full-time job right away is high.

Cox happens to be my last name.. People started calling me that as an insult and for some reason it actually sounded like an awesome name to use for playing CS.

Ever since then the name just sorta stuck... plus it gets awesome reactions like yours
