Computer is unstable. Please help me!

Recently my computer became slow, and I started having problems of memory leak. So I decided to format my hard drive and make a fresh install of windows.

Everything works fast now, but whenever I run 3D demanding programs such as 3dmark and Mafia after a minute or so it the programs closes and it jumps back to windows.

I?m pretty sure it?s a software problem because everything worked fine before I formatted the hard drive. I installed DirectX, Via 4 in 1 drivers, the latest Detenator, and Creative soundblaster drivers. There are no programs running on the background before it crashes.

I?m clueless as to why I?m having this problem, can you please help me?
 
maybe the card is overheating?
but if its just started happening after reinstall maybe not...

go start>run>eventvwr.msc and see if there are any problems listed
