Computer is haunted!

I went to sleep the other night with my desktop in hibernation.

Come 3AM, it suddenly fired up, full fans on start up, lights and all.

I woke up enough to check the time to see what was going on. I had just laid back down and was halfheartedly pondering why it turned on when I heard my mouse clicking!

I shot straight up, instantly wide awake: someone was in my room!

After scanning the place thoroughly, I realized it was just my hamster chewing on the cage wires, not my mouse clicking (mouse, hamster, close enough, no?).

So much for a good nights sleep! :|

Why would it have done that, anyway?

lol, I set my computer to turn on automatically with an alarm (never works correctly.) SO some days it will just turn on in the morning while others I wake up to find it off, One day I will figure out the mysteries of the gigabyte bios and why it picks and chooses when to turn on. (Maybe its alive...)

My PC speakers freak the hell out of me sometimes. They're completely unplugged but made some loud hissing noises. And this is ONLY during night. Why?

Because you touch yourself at night.

But you do too.... how come your speakers don't condemn you?

For a second I thought this was some parody of my thread this morning. I don't trust my computer anymore.

Sometimes at night my printer randomly prints some text. I've been analyzing the random texts... I'm pretty sure I'm getting death threats from my printer.

our old printer connected to our old computer did that too. Except it was random symbols, usually just a couple, sometimes only one.

OP... 3am computer bootup? Sounds like my laptop when it had the default windows update settings. Default setting is to grab and install updates at 3am, and it seems to start the computer up if it needs too.

Might check windows update and turn the scheduled time off or to a different time.

Sometimes I think my machine is self-aware...
