computer is crashing HELP!

i have 1 gb ram and when i watch videos, they are slow and choppy and they crash.i figure its overheating. how can i solve this problem? i already reformatted. thanks in advance for the help

We need a bit more information, list your components

What videos are you watching, DVD? or streaming? what type of files? what player are you viewing them in?

these are all some helpful things in diagnosing your issue.

it crashes when i watch tv rips. thats about all i watch. i watch them in ms media player. plz help.

try updated WMP, when i had problems with video it was either the vid card or old(er) version ofe media player

hmmm, thats usually what the problem is with me....maybe try a new meda player, somthing like VCL.
