Never had to do this due to not having problems because I'm pretty good about spyware/viruses/etc. Lately AVG has been finding viruses. I started a virus scan about 45 minutes ago and it still hasn't found anything.. I also use adaware(just upgraded to the new 2007 version, learning it..)

I think this is what I'm supposed to post right??

Your HJT log looks fine. You may want to consider uninstalling your old version of Java and updating to Version 6 Update 2. What exactly is AVG detecting and where are the files located? Have you tried uploading them to virustotal.com for a second opinion?

FWIW Ad-Aware has lousy detection rates. Since you like Grisoft products I would highly recommend AVG Anti-Spyware (free or paid). If you purchase AVG Anti-Malware is includes the (Ewido) Anti-Spyware engine.

You should follow John's advice to update Java. An old version usually have an exploit that may allow malware to infect your system which is why Sun releases updates. Vundo is known to get onto a computer via an older version of Java. My pet peeve is that the latest versions hook onto the holder version instead of the updates uninstalling the old version and then installing the new version. The following is the best way to update Java.

Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u2 from
http://www.majorgeeks.com/Sun_...Environment_d4648.html
and save it to your Desktop.
- Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
- Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove ALL older versions of Java by checking any item, one at a time, with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name. It should have a coffee cup icon next to it.
- For each item that you check, click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
- Repeat as many times as necessary to remove ALL of the Java versions.
- REBOOT your computer once ALL Java components are removed.
- Then from your Desktop, double-click on the newly-downloaded Java file to install the newest version.
