Computer hibernates when told to standby!!

I just finished my build and when I was testing it I found that whenever I tried to go to standby, the computer would always hibernate. Hibernation was NOT ENABLED. Should I try installing new drivers/flashing the BIOS to try and fix this?
 
Are you sure its going into hibernation ? Standby behaves similarly to hibernation. The hard drives spin down and the PC is in a semi off state. Hibernation is similar but it copies what ever is in memory to hiberfile.sys (dont remember if this is the exact name) to the HD
 
Yeah I'm almost positive. Right now EVERYTHING turns off when it goes to 'standby'. Case and CPU all shut off, even hard drive and cd-rom drives are off. This never happened to my old computer when it went on standby. I have to press the power button again to wake it up from standby.
