Computer help!

My computer has been acting up as of late. The computer will just shut off completely at random. No logging off.. just shut down.

Now there is a red light shining inside the case afterwards.. and I have to turn the power switch on the back of the case off, then back on before it will boot up again.

I think it is either Overheating or a RAM issue.. but not certain.

This is an
AMD Athlon 2500+
512MB of ram (1 stick)
80gb hd
ati radoen 9800 pro

guess thats all the stuff..

Thanks,

- Ryan

sounds like faulty memory or powersupply. or possibly a mobo going bad

i would check the motherboard for any bulging or leaking capasitors.
also download memtest and check for faulty memory. ( memtest.org )
