Computer help~ can't delete a file!!!

hey guys help me out~

I got a file on my computer (.avi) from eMule and now cannot delete it...
keeps saying file is in use by other programs
even in safe mode it says the same thing and won't delete...

any ways to deleting that file short of formatting?

on a serious note... my friend had a similar prob. what he does is... open task manager... kill explorer.exe... then click on new task... then run explorer.exe again. after that, he was able to delete the porn. i mean avi.

wrong spankters, open task manager, and open a cmd prompt window, kill explorer, and then del the file in dos, rerun explorer.exe, and it should workl
