Anyone have any links for computer hardware stores based in Dallas? Trying to find some parts locally that aren't available at Fry's/Compusa/BB/CC

bgmicro.com is somewhere in TX as well as Directron, Axiontech and Amamax. I think most of those are near Houston though. I would suggest the Yellow pages as a reference and perhaps you have a second yellow pages like the Yellow Book that we get here. And you can access updated yellow pages on various web sites.
. The local Chamber of Commerce usually has an online directory of local businesses too.

yellow pages haven't been a big help...plus I was hoping to find something like axiontech or directron that happened to be based out of dallas.

I'm very surprised that no one has responded yet. You'd think a city like dallas that hosts Quakeconn would have tons of hardware places around.

Well Dallas/FW is certainly big enough to support some kind of company that would carry unusual stuff - just need to sniff them out. Perhaps there is a PC Users Group in Dallas - check with the reference desk at the library for a contact name. Members there will probably know of the local resources.

I checked and found that bgmicro is in Garland and I think I recall that Plano has some tech going on there. May want to check and see if they have separate phone books and check those yellow pages.
And check their CofCs' directories of local businesses.

I seem to recall that Texas had some weird laws regarding shipping that would have inhibited such businesses from growing there. IDK if that's still the case or not.
