I have been having this strange problem recently with my computer. Occasionally, the computer will momentarily hang, then unfreeze. After it does this, the CDROM and HDs spin up, then stop. Sometimes after it does this, the computer will freeze and require a reboot. Other times, it will go back to normal. The intervals at which it happens vary...sometimes 20 minutes, sometimes like 3 minutes apart. It seems to get worse whenever you try and multitask, or surf the web while you play music or use word.
I was thinking about it, and to me it might be anything. I thought it could be the memory, but I am thinking more along the lines of PSU or motherboard, becasue the drive spin-up is kind of strange. Any ideas about what this could be would be much appreciated.
