Computer gets errors after I installed my LNE100TX network card

After I installed the NIC, during bootup, it says something about the system.ini has been deleted, altered, or damage. it also says that these files are missing vnetsup.vxd, vredir.vxd, dfs.vxd, and vnetbios.vxd. Then it boots to the GUI, and it says that the feature "Microsoft Networks" isn't installed. And I can't find out how to fix this problem.

Some history, I am installing a fresh copy of Win98 SE onto a clean partition.
