Computer gets errors after I installed my LNE100TX network card

After I installed the NIC, during bootup, it says something about the system.ini has been deleted, altered, or damage. it also says that these files are missing vnetsup.vxd, vredir.vxd, dfs.vxd, and vnetbios.vxd. Then it boots to the GUI, and it says that the feature "Microsoft Networks" isn't installed. And I can't find out how to fix this problem.

Some history, I am installing a fresh copy of Win98 SE onto a clean partition.

I can't remember if the client for microsoft networks in automatically active on a fresh install. Does it appear when you open Network in the control panel. If not add it. When I had trouble with that NIC trying to install two NICs in one machine, I had to reinstall the Windows every time it screwed up because simply removing the card didn't get rid of whatever kind of damage got done. Maybe somebody who knows more about this will be able to help more.

This might help, Worked on several, computers at school:
First, delete all ethernet cards from the device manager, and then shutdown, take out the card and boot up. Errors should go away. Then reinstall the ethernet cards in the computer and boot up and install the drivers and stuff

I know why it happened, it's cause you skipped some files during the install right? Some of those files that Windows was asking for were on the Windows CD, not the floppy disk the card came with. Just reinstall the drivers and insert the Windows CD when it asks.
