Computer Geek or Not?

It's more than obvious that most people who visit AT forums are computer hobbyists and enthusiasts. I'm curious what other people do with their lives, what kind of jobs you all have? Who actually does something with their life that has nothing to do with computers?

Me - I'm a geek through and through. I work in IT doing web design, programming, and some support for a international architecture and engineering company.

I would think it would be hard to participate in these forums as much as many of them do without working with computers...

<----- What my nick says, but I work in industry accounting, not individual taxes. I dabble with computers (made my last four) and am studying to get my CS degree, so I can program games 😀

I am not a hardcore computer geek. I guess i am just a "poser"! I enjoy these forums because of the diversity of them, plus i learn a lot.
I am an "artsy-fartsy" geek. always been. So, i guess i really don't belong here! hehe😀 but i could find any real good art forums so i call this place home

I am a hardware geek by nature, yet I own a Mac. 😀

I am the Corporate LAN Admin for a managed services company.

I don't get into sci-fi.

I also enjoy sports and I play music.

I've always had computers as hobbies. I used to operate a small business building and servicing computers. I had a part time job in college doing IT work for a small company.

However, I graduated as a mechanical engineer, and I enjoy working with old cars. Right now, I am doing design work for the auto industry, which somewhat mates computers with mechanical engineering.

I am probably a geek, I am going for a Bachelor of Science, and I was gonna major in Biology because I wanted to be a Doctor, but now I am not so sure, I might switch into computer sciences next year and see what I think of it. I will probably end up with a double major in bio and comp sci because that keeps my options open if I get tired of biology.

<-- semi geek...

I am a supervisor for a computer technical support department.
I love SciFi

probably the only thing i havent done in a while is build my own rig (no time)

I am on a computer from 10am till midnight...

i have a nice tan, from the monitor 😉

Computers == hobby. I guess I know enough to call myself a computer geek.

<--- BS Physics. I want to get in on quantum computing later 😛

Your GQ is below average - you must be cool as a cucumber!

Hmmmm I wonder which ones I answered "incorrectly"? Heck, my girlfriend tells me I'm a geek all the time! (Good for me that she has a thing for geeks!!)

Always messed about with computers as a hobby.
